A suspect cited or arrested for NRS 207.200 "trespass" in Las Vegas faces a Nevada misdemeanor charge. If convicted, he or she could receive up to 6 months jail in the Clark County Detention Center and a $1000.00 fine. Even if no jail time is imposed, the trespass conviction would stay on the person’s permanent criminal record. Many of our Las Vegas trespass cases involve patrons who allegedly refuse to leave a casino or nightclub after having been told by security to do so. If the facility decides to summon the Las Vegas Metro Police, the person most likely is going to get cited or arrested on a trespass charge. This results in a criminal case at the Las Vegas Regional Justice Center. If the circumstances are not overly egregious, arrangements can be made to get many of these cases dismissed. If you face this situation, contact one of our Las Vegas NV trespass lawyers to discuss what happened and how best to proceed. We can appear in court on your behalf (so you don’t have to be there), and we can work to get the matter dismissed and kept off your record. |
